Important safety notice concerning direct heaters

In connection with a limited number of rapid heaters sold under the STIEBEL ELTRON, AEG and ZANKER brand names, the Stiebel Eltron Group is hereby issuing a safety notice.

Under certain unfavourable circumstances (in particular constant operation under extremely dirty conditions and high levels of humidity), the appliances listed below can suffer from overheating and, in extreme cases, the appliance may catch fire. Of a total of 120,000 appliances concerned, 0.01 percent has come to our attention. It is recommended to stop using these appliances and to isolate them from the power supply.

CBS 20 S - product number: 185274 (STIEBEL ELTRON)
VH 211 - product number: 187614 (AEG
VH 211 CH - product number: 187615 (AEG)
SH 2002 - product number: 187616 (ZANKER)
