iF design award for STIEBEL ELTRON ISH exhibition stand
Since it was introduced in 2004, the iF communication design award has established itself as one of the pre-eminent competitions both on the national and international level. Those who win an award here have managed to convince the judges with exceptional communications design. STIEBEL ELTRON’s presentation at the ISH 2011 trade fair was able to overcome its rivals in the prestigious competition. The project was given the coveted 2012 iF Award in the category of corporate architecture – exhibition/trade fair (as an element of brand communications).

A new presentation covering 1,000 square metres was designed for STIEBEL ELTRON by the renowned architects Schmidhuber + Partner from Munich. It was given its premier at the 2011 ISH. Starting with the question of identity of the brand, transposing it into brand architecture and message, right through to communications on the immediate level, Schmidthuber + Partner developed the entire concept and put it into practice with their partners. The Dusseldorf public relations agency MEHRplus was responsible for showcasing of the products and themes in addition to product communications. The concept is called “Focussing on the essential” and provides a clearer understanding of STIEBEL ELTRON as the experts for energy efficiency and heat pump technology, as well as being a leading manufacturer for heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration and system design. The entrance area was divided into brand and theme portals, which led to a central atrium, the efficiency centre – as the hub for the overall presentation of the brand with an ideal view over all the stands, themes and products. This way not only was the key theme of renewables at the centre but also people themselves, in tune with the brand claim: feel-good technology.
